Jack Grealish and Jota will both return to training later this week ahead of the Wolves game.
Boss Dean Smith will hope to have Grealish available for the derby clash at Molineux.
He’ll have to thoroughly assess Jota, who had an operation on his hernia three weeks ago, on the fields of Bodymoor Heath as he comes back into the group.
Frederic Guilbert, meanwhile, will also be looked at as he recovers from the injury he sustained against Liverpool.
Boss Smith also spoke of his delight at the continued recuperation of James Chester, who played the full U23s game against Newcastle on Monday in their 3-2 win.
He said: “Fred had to come off at the weekend. He had a deadleg.
“He got it quite early on in the game but carried on through. At half-time, he was on the exercise bike keeping it moving and then eventually it got too much so he had to come off, which was unfortunate.
“Chezzie got 90 minutes in the U23s game against Newcastle. That’s really good.
“Jota will be back joining training, too.
“Jack’s calf was just not right at the weekend. Hopefully he will be training on Thursday at the latter part of the week.”
