Good news for football fans!
South Korean men’s professional football league, the K-League, will kick off its new season on May 8.
The league announced Friday morning that both K League 1 and K League 2 would begin their 2020 seasons on the same date, after more than months break, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
All matches will take place behind closed doors with no fans, until further notice.
The decision was taken after a general meeting between the league and club representatives. The first game will be a clash between Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Suwon Samsung Bluewings at Jeonju World Cup Stadium.
